Greenville ISD welcomed community members to Greenville High School today for the annual State of the District, held in partnership with the Greenville Chamber of Commerce. The event provided an opportunity to celebrate the great things happening across the district while sharing an update on Greenville ISDβs academic progress and continued focus on student success.
Guests were treated to a showcase of student talent from the moment they arrived. Our Gold Rated FFA students greeted community members, while the Greenville High School Culinary Arts program prepared and catered lunch for the event. Beautiful centerpieces created by our Floral Design students decorated the tables and were later given away to 10 lucky guests.
The program began with an invocation led by FFA Officer Lily Spivey, followed by the posting of the colors by our GHS NJROTC cadets. Guests also enjoyed a performance by the talented GHS Encore show choir.
Superintendent Dr. Joe Lopez then presented the State of the District, sharing an overview of Greenville ISDβs academic performance and the progress being made across the district. He emphasized that βthese are our kids,β sharing a clear message that driving strong achievement in literacy and math remains the district's top priority as we work together to help every student reach their full potential.
If you missed the opportunity to attend in person, you can watch the livestream on the GEUS Facebook page.
Thank you to the Greenville Chamber of Commerce for partnering with us and to everyone who joined us in celebrating the great things happening throughout Greenville ISD.
